Notice is hereby given that the Palmyra Township Board adopted amendments to the Zoning Ordinance #11-2020 at a public meeting held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The Zoning Ordinance shall take effect eight (8) days following the date of this publication, as prescribed by law. The amendments have the following effect:
Article II – Definitions is hereby amended by adding the following:
Section 2.73 – Banquet/Rental Hall
A room or facility available for rent on a daily or short-term basis, not to exceed 48 hours, to accommodate meetings, conferences, receptions, business, and social gatherings. Such a facility shall be operated in strict compliance with all laws and administrative rules promulgated by Federal, State or Local authorities that may be applicable to any such gathering or function to be conducted on the premises.
Article lV (Zoning District Regulations), Section 4.2.3(B) – Special Approval Uses is hereby amended and replaced in its entirety as follows:
B. Country clubs; banquet/rental hall; public swimming pools; recreation centers; and parks, playground, and playfields
Notice is hereby given that the Public Accuracy Test for the November 5, 2024, General Election has been scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2024, 6:00 pm, at the Palmyra Township Hall located at 6490 Palmyra Road, Palmyra, Michigan.
The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that the computer program used to record and count the votes cast at the election will operate in accordance to Michigan Election Law.

On June 18, 2024, LENAWEE COUNTY HAS FILED ITS NOTICE OF INTENT TO PREPARE THE MATERIALS MANAGEMENT PLAN AND HAS BECOME THE COUNTY APPROVAL AGENCY as required per Part 115, Solid Waste Management, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act,1994 PA 451, as amended.
LENAWEE COUNTY intends to complete the MMP development as a SINGLE County plan. Please note that all materials management planning committee meetings are open to the public and notices of these meetings shall be found at the following: lenawee.mi.us. In addition, each municipality will receive notice and will have the meeting notices available as well.
