Notice is hereby given that the Palmyra Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Palmyra Township Hall, 6490 Palmyra Rd., Palmyra, MI 49268, to receive comments on a Special Use application submitted by Steve Wasenko and John Bear for an issuance of a special use permit for a private firearms range and training area that will be specifically dedicated to local and state law enforcement training events, adaptive shooting sports, and civilian fire arms safety training events located at 1581 Academy Road (PA0 106-2555-00), which would be considered a special approval use under Section 4.1.3 of the Palmyra Township Zoning Ordinance.
The application materials may be viewed at the Township Hall by appointment at the Clerk’s office; please call (517) 260-8620. Written comments concerning the application may be mailed to the Palmyra Township Planning Commission, 6490 Palmyra Road, Palmyra, MI 49268 or emailed to palmyratownshipclerk @ gmail.com. If you choose to submit written comments, they must be received no later than July 6, 2026.
