The Palmyra Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a meeting and Public Hearing on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in the Palmyra Township Hall at 7:00 pm, to discuss an Application of Variance submitted by Viasat/SSC, Inc. for property PAO-118-2680-00, 3762 US 223, to allow a variance to deviate from the required buffering (in this case the fencing), as stated in the Cellular Tower Ordinance, and to deviate from the seven (7) foot height limitation of fencing, as stated in Section 8.9 of the Zoning Ordinance, in order to install a ten (10) foot high shield for the purpose of shielding the Viasat dish as required by the FCC.

Palmyra Township is hosting a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30th, at 9:00 am. The parade will begin at the Palmyra Township Hall, 6490 Palmyra Road, and proceed to Rouget Rd., heading south, and then west on US-223 to the Palmyra Main Cemetery, where a memorial service will take place. All participants are asked to arrive at the Palmyra Township Hall no later than 8:30 am.
Children 15 years of age and younger will be awarded cash prizes for the most patriotic bicycle, tricycle, or unicycle. There will also be awards for the most patriotic floats, which is open to all ages.
In addition to the parade, the Palmyra Fire Association will be sponsoring a pancake breakfast at the fire station, 4276 Rouget Rd., from 7 am to 10 am. Cost is $6.00 for adults; $4.00 for senior citizens and children under 12 years of age; and Veterans eat free.
