notice of special meeting

A special meeting of the Palmyra Township Board will be held at the Palmyra Township Hall, 6490 Palmyra Rd., on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the following:


  • The response to RWE concerning the lack of a CREO
  • Hiring Mike Homier to provide additional counsel in renewable energy
  • Kohler Generator Annual Maintenance Contract


The next “regular” meeting will be held on September 9, 2025.


Questions concerning this meeting may be directed to Township Supervisor Dave Pixley at 517-605-1121. All are welcome to attend.


This notice is posted in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, MCL 41.72a (2) and (4), and with the Americans with Disabilities Act.



           


NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSTRUCT SOLAR ENERGY FACILITY

  

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Rouget Road Solar Farm, LLC is planning to apply to the Michigan Public Service Commission for approval to develop, construct, own, and operate an approximately 175-megawatt Solar Energy Facility near S. Myers Highway, Humphrey Highway, and Engle Road located in Palmyra Township (“Project”). Rouget Road Solar Farm, LLC will hold a public meeting to consider public comment on its site plan for the Project as follows: 


                                                 August 25, 2025

                                                 5:30 P.M.

                                                 American Legion Post #325

                                                451 High Street, Blissfield, MI 49228

All aspects of the Project are open for discussion at the public meeting and all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. If you would prefer to send written comments for consideration, please forward them prior to the public meeting to J. Kevin Cole at JKevin.Cole@rwe.com.
